Building Climate Action with Youth Leadership

We are thrilled to welcome a fresh cohort of passionate, talented mentees to the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (GCSAYN)! ๐ŸŒโœจ

As part of our flagship mentorship program, these dynamic young changemakers will help drive forward GCSAYNโ€™s mission: empowering youth to lead climate-smart agriculture and sustainability efforts across the globe.

What are the aims of mentorship program?

GCSAYN was founded on the idea that youth have unique insight, energy, and agency to drive sustainable transformations in agriculture. Our network now spans over 170 countries, connecting young people with knowledge, partnerships, and on-the-ground impact.

The mentorship program is one of our new flagship initiatives, alongside internships, exchange programs, climate hackathons, and more. GCSAYN mentees engage in research, policy dialogue, community outreach, project development, digital campaigns, and more โ€” all designed to strengthen climate resilience, boost food security, and scale youth leadership in agriculture.

Our new mentees come from diverse regions and disciplines, all united by a shared vision of climate action and sustainable development.

๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿฝโ€๐ŸŒพ Yemeli Manfouo Huguette โ€“ Cameroon
Based in Cameroon, Yemeli is a student at Catholic University Institute in Yaoundรฉ, Cameroon with a passion for sustainable agriculture, and youth empowerment.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป Derrick Mukanshi โ€“ Zambia
Mr. Derrick represents Zambia and is focused on agri-innovation and youth involvement in climate policy.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ Shinyuy Glory โ€“ Cameroon
Ms. Shinyuy from Cameroon, with strong roots in community-driven climate adaptation and working with school children.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ Mehendi Behera โ€“ India
Ms. Behera from India, with strong roots in educational community, developing higher knowledge about sustainability and climate resilient agriculture and widening her sphere with global horizons.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ Esthia Elfeige Galahi โ€“ Ivory Coast
Ms. Galahi from for Cรดte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), is a student of Masters degree in management, brings diverse experiences about management.

Over the coming months, our mentees will bring fresh ideas, diverse backgrounds, and bold perspectives to GCSAYNโ€™s work. They come from multiple regions, academic disciplines, and lived experiences, united by a commitment to sustainable futures.

These mentees will contribute across GCSAYNโ€™s projects: from community-level initiatives to global dialogues. They will work on research, digital storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and refining strategies for sustainable agriculture across contexts.
