Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global Executive Director Mr. Divine Ntiokam Attends
UN General Assembly and Climate Summit 2025 in New York
New York, September 24, 2025 — Mr. Divine Ntiokam, Executive Director of the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (CSAYN Global), is currently in New York to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and the 2025 UN Climate Action Summit, taking place this week at the UN Headquarters.
Mr. Ntiokam’s visit underscores the growing importance of youth-led initiatives in shaping global climate policy and sustainable agriculture. As the founder and leader of CSAYN Global — a network that empowers young people to drive climate-smart agriculture practices across more than 100 countries — his participation aims to elevate the voices of youth and grassroots communities often left out of high-level climate discussions.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Mr. Ntiokam emphasized the need for inclusive, action-oriented dialogue. “The climate crisis cannot be addressed without the active participation of youth, smallholder farmers, and indigenous communities. We are here to ensure their perspectives are not just heard, but implemented in policy and practice,” he stated.
During his time in New York, Mr. Ntiokam is expected to engage in several high-level side events, including dialogues with heads of state, UN agencies, and youth delegations from around the world. His agenda also includes delivering a keynote address during a special session on “Youth, Food Systems, and Climate Resilience,” organized in collaboration with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
CSAYN Global has been a leading force in mobilizing youth action on climate-smart agriculture since its founding, advocating for policies that integrate sustainable farming techniques, ecosystem restoration, and community-based climate resilience.
Mr. Ntiokam’s participation in the UNGA and Climate Summit 2025 is seen as a strategic moment to push for greater investment in youth-led climate solutions, especially in the Global South, where agriculture remains a cornerstone of livelihoods and food security.
