'Think Blue' for Call to Earth Day on October 8, 2026
We invite our members and associated institutions to participate in CNN’s Call to Earth Day, taking place on October 8, 2026. This year’s theme, “Think Blue,” spotlights the ocean as the force that connects countries, coastlines, and communities across the globe reminding us that whether we live by the sea or thousands of miles from it, ocean health touches every one of our lives.
CNN’s Call to Earth Day 2026 takes place on October 8, 2026, with the official sign-up available on the CNN Call to Earth Day portal.
Event Details:
Date: October 8, 2026 ; Theme: “Think Blue” — focusing on the ocean, waterways, and marine conservation.
Goal: A global day of action dedicated to protecting the planet’s shared water systems, which feed billions, regulate climate, and produce oxygen.
Key Threats Addressed: Rising water temperatures, overfishing, and plastic pollution.
