FAO joins first Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (GCSAYN) Annual Forum to advance youth-led transformation of agriculture
FAO joined the first Annual Forum of the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (GCSAYN) in Nairobi, bringing together young leaders, policymakers, researchers, academics, development partners and agricultural experts around a shared ambition: advancing youth-led transformation of agrifood systems.
Under the theme “Africa’s Youth: Leading Collaboration, Innovation and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation,” the forum highlighted the power of collaboration, innovation and knowledge-sharing to build more resilient and sustainable food systems. FAO’s session focused on how data, information systems and digital tools can support better #agricultural planning, service delivery and decision-making, and, importantly, how young people can help bridge the gap between available technologies and the farmers who need them.
FAO also showcased KIAMIS, FAO’s Agro-Informatics Platform (AIP) and Digital Services Portfolio (DSP), highlighting opportunities to turn trusted agricultural data into practical tools and services. The message was clear: when we connect young people, data, #technology and #agriculture, we create new opportunities for innovation and impact. 🚀🌾
